It's always a challenge to describe yourself without sounding pompous, arrogant, falsely humble, or self-obsessed. Here's Bono's description of himself:
I'm a scribbling, cigar-smoking, wine-drinking, bible-reading band man. An activist travelling salesman of ideas. Chess player, part-time rock star, opera singer, in the loudest folk group in the world.
Suffice to say, I'm enjoying reading a book about Bono on Bono.

It was Bono's example, his passion for those less fortunate and his poetry that introduced Jesus into my life. When I was 16 my Math book, instead of being filled with equations was chockers full of glowing crosses and the following verse written over and over:
You broke the bonds and You loosed the chains
Carried my Cross and my shame
Bono is my Christian Hero. Not because he is a singer or famous, but because he is real about his faith. He is a Prophet and has answered his Call. I thank God for Paul David Hewson. He makes me wanna be a better person.
