Gill and I have just buckled our swashes, battened down the hatches, guzzled a grog of rum and gone to see the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film. Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow is delightfully over the top but I didn't think the film was quite as good as the first one and here's my review:
1. Davy Jones has let his looks slip since he was in The Monkees.
2. Seeing his crew reminded me why I don't eat fish.
3. If I'd been alive in pirate times I'd have trained as a dentist and made a fortune in gold dubloons.
